Rockingham Dental Centre Hosts RKCC Business After Hours at Our New Clinic

Rockingham Dental Centre had the privilege earlier this year of hosting the Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce (RKCC) Business After Hours event at our new clinic at 55 Thorpe Street. It was a genuine highlight for our team, and a first for us as hosts.

What Is Business After Hours in Rockingham?

Business After Hours is a monthly RKCC networking event held during the week, typically commencing at 5:30 pm with formal presentations from 6:00 pm. It gives local businesses the chance to open their doors, showcase what they do, and connect with members of the Rockingham business community over light refreshments.

The format is simple but effective. Businesses present to an audience of RKCC members, associates, and community guests, then open the floor to questions before networking kicks in. The RKCC encourages businesses to co-host with other members to maximise attendance, broaden the mix of industries in the room, and share the cost of putting on the evening.

Events run monthly throughout the year, with the exception of January.

Our First Time Hosting

Hosting Business After Hours at our new clinic was something we had been looking forward to, and the evening did not disappoint. It allowed us to welcome the local business community through our doors, show off the new space, and have real conversations with people who are part of the same community we serve every day.

The relationship with the RKCC runs deep for us. We were proud to win Business of the Year at last year’s RKCC Awards, and hosting Business After Hours felt like a natural continuation of that. It is the kind of involvement we want to build on, and we are hoping to make it an annual event going forward.

More Than Just Dentistry

Our connection to Rockingham goes well beyond the clinic. As a practice that has been serving the local community for over 60 years, we have always believed that being a good business means being an active part of the place you call home. That commitment shows up in a number of ways, from our ongoing sponsorship of the Rockingham Flames basketball team and corporate sponsorship of the Rockingham Rams, to running mouthguard days and providing hands-on support for local sporting clubs across the region.

That means supporting local sport, working with organisations like Ability Links, and now opening our clinic to the broader business community through events like this. Whether it is through preventive dental care for local families or evenings like Business After Hours, the thread running through all of it is the same – we care about Rockingham.

If you would like to get in touch with our team or find out more about what we offer, we would love to hear from you.

A special thank you to Sue Hasey, Rob McGavin and the entire RKCC team for everything you do behind the scenes to make these events happen. We’re proud to be part of such a strong local business community.
